What would you do in my situation?

I'm trying to keep in touch with somebody who uses AOL (hence an @aol.com address), and everything was fine, but the last two times I've tried sending email, I've gotten an email thing back saying it couldn't deliver it or it was an invalid address or something along those lines. It's the only way I can communicate with this person. What would you do? It's not a terribly important thing but I'd still like to keep contact, and now suddenly this... kind of a piss off. Any suggestions?

Had aol at one time and if my memory is correct..you can change your email address/aol id as many times as you want. It sounds like they might have changed it for some reason(to avoid you j/k...maybe too much spam) or cancelled their aol membership...

An invalid address on 2 occasions tends to point that they are not there anymore

or it could be your SMTP server rejecting outgoing mail to aol.com.. My local ISP used to do that (I guess because they thought they were cool) so I called them up and bitched at them and threatened to tell the local paper about how they were censoring what I could do on the Internet.. They removed their restriction after that.

Just sit around and wait, keep trying though, with a different mail server. May sound cruel, but that other person knows your email so it's not like you're double-blind. He/She will contact you if they feel it's needed.

Thanks for the thoughtful replies. As for the people who think it's a biatch 'dumping'/'rejecting' me, like I said, the person isn't of huge importance to me, and we talked occasionally via instant messaging... I only posted this cause I was hoping there would be some way to find out what had happened, or anything... just from being curious I guess.

I guess I can simply assess all the possibilities...
1) ISP restricting access (unlikely)
2) Simply being ignored (quite unlikely)
3) Account changed/canceled for unknown (to me) reasons ...

I think the third possibility is the most likely, but you never know. Oh well, I'll wait and see.
