I've been asked and have done it before. Unless you're for some reason afraid of "teh ghey" I could think of much worse requests from a fellow man.

Are we so fearful of our sexuality being questioned that we'd let our own fellow men suffer for it??

I'd personally rather just have someone call me gay if they're that bothered by me being "ok" with it :\
