Document in hardcopy everything with your name on it.
Document everything that your boss sends you that you feel uncomfortable with.

If you've taken management classes in college, you may have noticed that this is taught as proper management procedure. Really.

I don't agree with it and think it's a sign of a bad manager, but it is taught that way to many people.

Yeah. This is common practice. And whining about it is just a really, really, really bad idea.

Your boss owns you. You report to him. Your work is done for him, not for "you".

Wait till you do something innovative in grad school & a professor publishes it under his/her name. It's a common occurence.

Sucks to go to that school... we had something innovative in a mathematics class during undergrad years; that was published under the names of the students willing to put forth the extra work at the time, with the prof's name on there for providing support and guidance.
