What would you do if you won/inherited 670,000 dollars?

A soldier out here just found out that his wife won the lottery and after taxes they are getting 670,000 dollars. (on a side note, he cheats on her regularly and is a scum bag.... life just isn't fair)

Anyways, what would you do with it?

Personally, I'd probably purchase 2 houses. Live in one, and rent out the other. I'd also spend about 20,000 dollars on two used vehicles for me and my lady. I'd also blow about 10 grand on A/V and computers, and about 10 grand on firearms. And probably take my mother out to dinner.

How much would you blow?

I'd save it all... and treat my wife better...

Edit: I'm not married- I just meant if I was that guy.

I don't understand spending as much on a car as AV and a computer. 😕 My ragtag home theatre sounds great and cost me about $200.

buy a house, pay off any debt. Pay off as much of my mom and dads debt as I can.

and save some.

i would have a great wedding, pay off my new husbands college loans, take the families on vaction, buy a home in hawaii and move there, then invest the rest

That damn practical side in me would force me to spend only a small amount and invest the rest so my retirment would be secure or if I didn't make it that long my family would have something to fall back on.

1)Financial Adviser
2) Pay off debt
3) Money Market for current private school for kids
4) College for kids
5) Replace the vehicles if I had any money left because they suck.. lord do they suck... oh how I loathe them.... (sigh)

Well, I could probably blow a few grand on just a TV, then get myself a new computer of course, and some new gadgets, and then a nice sound system of course. Probably some sound for the cars as well. I could spend 10k on electronics in a heartbeat. But I'd still limit myself. And I have no desire for a brand new high dollar car. Just doesn't make sense to me.

1) Payoff car and debt.
2) Buy a new home.
3) Vacation in Australia for about a month.
4) Invest the rest.
5) Continue working.

Pay off the house, and thats about it. Invest the rest. Just doing that will free up about $1700 per month for fun stuff & other trinkets.

No way would I buy a second house, I wouldn't need the money bad enought to want to deal with renters.

I would pay off the house I just bought. Quit my job and go work at the costco 2 miles from my house to either be the highlighter guy or the person that checks membership cards.

1. buy a large condo
2. buy a new car
3. go to grad school full-time, and use the remaining money to live off of while I'm in school

Pay off all debts (that'd reduce the amount a considerable amount.)
Put the kids in a good private school (that'd take a bite out of it too.)
Start up a home business.
Anything that might be left, invest.

Pay off my house and the lease on my car, finish school (two classes), set the rest aside and invest it in myself and my business. There would be a party and some fun, but nothing extravagent.
