The Dancing Peacock hit it on the nose. I was thinking this myself. You could have explained with the Clerk so that you or your boyfriend could have stayed thier while one of you went to an ATM.

And how about we just call you PAT for now on?? LMAO

<< My brother had a similar thing. He went to get some gas on his way home from work one morning. He didnt have his cards or enough cash. He's a paramedic so he doesnt take his card to work and only takes a small amount of change. The guy gave him a form to fill in and said that he must come back within 24 hours to pay it or they will pass on the details to the cops. >>

I bet it was a hassle for him.

What was gas station man proposing that you do to rectify the situaiton, stay there until you could collect social security?

I don't think I could accept a money gift from strangers unless in a life/death emergency case, just doesn't seem right.

I would still send him the money anyways. if he is working at a gas station, he probably aint got too much $$ or nothing.

Funny that Arco is the only one gas station with a stop sign shaped sticker with writing "Crime doesn't pay, but reporting it does, receive up to $xx(I forgot how much) for reporting"

all this confusion could have been avoided if jerboy had simply stated "i'm gay" when the issue was first brought up. *shrug*

who cares, he doesnt need to state it. It's obvious when he says bf and he says he's a male that hes gay. why does that matter?

I wouldn't put I'M A MALE if I didn't have to. I had to put it there, because some people were confused. I wouldn't be dumb enough to write "Hi I'm GAY!" in my sig just as you wouldn't write "HI I'm straight!". and I'm not GAY. I'm BISEXUAL. See the difference

i confused???

shut your hole Wang Chung!

the same thing could happen to me since i carry around zero cash with me. actually the only difference would be that it would be a female passenger in the car, instead of male (which is cool, btw).

you put it in french, are you going to assume that everybody here can read french?

I wouldn't be dumb enough to write "Hi I'm GAY!" in my sig just as you wouldn't write "HI I'm straight!".

if there was any question as to my orientation, i would come out and directly state "i am straight" or something similar, instead of trying to infer it with statements about my gender.

and I'm not GAY. I'm BISEXUAL. See the difference

and this is why you shouldn't leave it to other people to draw their own conclusions.

a.) it clearly wasn't obvious to many members on this board

b.) case in point, you and i both thought he was gay. but then he tells us he's bi. he wants us to make this distinction. now how are we supposed to know that he's bi and not just gay?

You don't, because its not really that important. I thought this discussion was about not having money when you owe someone on the spot.

okay, then maybe you shouldn't write things like:

and I'm not GAY. I'm BISEXUAL. See the difference

i mean, the way you write, it's almost as if i'm expected to somehow know that you're bi and not gay.

cute.

address the issue:

why don't you just say you're bi, instead of telling people to refer to your sig, that's written in a foreign language, and results in people thinking you're gay, not bi? is this supposed to be some kind of puzzle game?
