In Pittsburgh you could only get them at a chain of dairy stores called Isaly's, and if your Klondike had a red center they would give you a free one. Of course, that was a great incentive to eat them at the store instead of taking them home.
That Red center is exactly where M4H has been hiding the body parts all these years.
