I would take the liking the job thingy dingy...

Sounds like a deal. My future wife better be into this whole "women in the workforce" deal.

If I was single, 60k would be enough if it was a job I loved..

If I had a family, I'd have to go for the 120k though.. even if I hated the job.

I've had my current job for 6 years. I hate it. I loathe coming into work everyday but it pays the bills while I'm still in school. :/

Maybe it's me, but I've never gotten the satisfaction from cashing a check as I've had from doing a job well done. That being said, I could find satisfaction from any any job including a 120K job that is work, as long as I did it well.

So, I'll take the 120k. What a whore am I.

60k.

Right now I'm working for myself, not making alot of money either, but I love it. I'm avoiding going back to an office like the plague, even tho I would be making alot more.

60k loving the job, of course. 8+ hours of my day will be taken up doing this. Why would I want to be unhappy 8+ hours per day? That'd make me a pretty unhappy person. I think if I loved my job/career, that would make life pretty damn good and as a result I'd probably manage my finances MUCH better and end up being BETTER off than if I had the 120k :p

60K is plenty of money. If you're smart with your money, 60k + happy job is a much better choice than 120k and not liking your job. IMO.
