Freaking chick movies. My wife made me sit through 13 going on 30, the movie actually wasn't that awful, but it did cause me to think about what I might do differently, the 2nd time around. I think I would treasure my friends, and family more, and spend more time actually getting to know who they are, rather than just talking crap like cars and computers. And I would for sure spend more time getting to know my wife, though hopefully I'll have another 50+ years to remedy that one.

What would you do differently? I'm sure most will say "nothing" but there must be something, even a little thing.

What would you change if you could do it all again?

Don't get me started. Much too long to list. In a nutshell, I would have taken all the chances I should of instead of being to shy to try. :)

I would have picked the lotto winning numbers instead of what I did pick in the 17mil lottery I last played :(

I would:

..have finished college and started my current career sooner
..not gone out with a certain ex g/f
..not accumulated so much cc debt

hah, how could anyone not want to change anything? No one on AT has done something they don't regret doing.

I wouldn't of spent 7th grade through 10th grade IRCing 24/7. I would have actually gone to my junior prom and the homecomings from 9th-11th grade. I wouldn't of failed a class my sophomore year out of spite. I wouldn't of been caught by my dad reading some magazines that I wasn't quite of legal age to own yet (although at least it killed any questions about my sexuality, not that there's anything wrong with alternatives though :D)

Too much to change, but mostly I'd change what happened in high school because it really should have been the best time of my life.

I suffer from ruminating about this alot. I beat myself up too much over things I've done. My god what I wouldn't give for a time machine.

I would have spent more days at the base pool when I lived in Panama instead of at my damned computer - maybe then I'd be in much better shape.

There are too many things to mention.

I have wasted my life with the wrong partners for the wrong reasons.
I have never lived up to my potential.
I had low self esteem for way too many years.
I was disrespectful to my parents.

:)

Speaking strictly for myself, I would have not hung out with stupid friends, done similarly stupid things, and got sidetracked from school with the aforementioned and a slut of a girl back in early HS.

Same here... there would be so many things I would have done differently just to not waste time.

probably not a whole lot. there were a lot of individual events that I would change, but I am genuinely happy with who I am and the place I am in.

ok...maybe one. I would have managed time better in college.

I haven't lived long enough to want to do it again differently. But I probably would have started drinking much younger than I did.

paying attention to women before the age of 17 so i could have had more years of practice, everytime up untill then, women would approach me and try to start conversations with me and i would brush them off and now they dont approach anymore because i had brushed em off and now i want them to come to me, oh well, i want to go back to when i was 7 and protest my withdrawl from the private schooling, not get fat (but i have corrected that now, 155 at 6' tall), destroy my computer, play sports, and be a normal guy instead of a isolationist geek

I wouldn't change anything. The good and the bad have made who I am today and I like myself. Take away something and you take away the experiance that shaped decisions later. Wisdom has a price and sooner or later everybody pays.

You know, as many mistakes as I've made in my short 20 years, I wouldn't change it. I have a lot of problems, I'm shy, I'm single, I'm overweight, and my grades suck, but you know what? Fvck it. I like where I'm headed, I like who I am, and I'm bettering myself because of those two facts. I wouldn't be who I am without making those mistakes.

Cheers!

Count me in with these last two smart guys. I wouldn't change a single thing. Life often sucks, but over time I'm becoming more and more convinced that suckiness adds richness and variety to life. I'm coming to appreciate it just as much as I do the fun/happy moments.

Everything in its Right Place.

Overall, I am pretty happy. If I changed anything I wouldn't be who I am today, and today is not all that bad.
