So why do people, and the media, take Rush Limbaugh seriously?

Wouldn't you be willing to say crazy things, make up crazy things, do and say anything to ensure your 20 mill check keeps coming in?
People are willing do a lot more for a lot less money.
Why does the media report his ranting as if it were news or had any credence?
So why does anyone take this guy serious?
 
someone on huffingtonpost said rush used to go by the name "jeff christie" in pittsburg 30 years ago and was arrested for trying to pick up dudes. and here all this time i thought he was living the best life in his compound in fla balling chicks and all sorts of other stuff
 
i'd do pretty much anything, but I would only do it for a year. after that I would quit, move to a large piece of land off the beaten path, and live off of investments.
 
Anything, specially if I get to bail out of the country after doing it..

I never said I would VOTE Democrat, only register as such. That way you can still have the 20 mil, all while still being able to send that socialist Muslim prick a message in November.
