What would win? Enterprise/Voyager/etc. vs. Star Destroyer/etc.

Maybe that's pitting the wrong things against each other. But technically, which "universe" could kick the others ass?

I'm not boned up enough in Star Trek to know if they have battleships, or if the regular Star Ships is about all.

But on equal ship levels, which is the winner? A serious question, no favorites, just the facts :D

If the star destroyer uses lasers, then the enterprise would win because lasers wont do any damage to its shields.

In at least one episode, the Enterprise D encountered species that only had lasers, and it was stated that a laser would do next to no damage to the shields.

But, the Star Destroyer may have a good chance by sheer size. It would easily dwarf the Enterprise, and they could always send all their TIE fighters on kamikaze runs.

as i believe it the star destroyer is like the size of a planet.....

so unless voyager/enterprise could do what luke did with the core and that crap startrek would have no chance.

star destroyer could just ram it.

the star destroyers ranged in length from 900 (Imperial SD) to 8000 (Super SD) meters, while the enterprise is a little under 700 meters

death star would pwn the enterprise
Imperial Star Destroyers have, if i remember, 60 Laser cannons, 60 Ion cannons, a warhead launcher, 36 TIE Fighters, 24 TIE Interceptors, 12 TIE Bombers, assault transports/gunboats/shuttles and skipray blastboats

protected by the dual shield generators atop the bridge of the ship

i wouldnt fsck with a star destroyer if i was captain kirk

Star Destroyer would win by the landslide. BTW, Star Trek shields can be overload easily by those lasers and ion canons.

Don't photon torpedoes pack a big punch though?

Like if they were able to take out the shields on a Star Destroyer how many torpedoes would it take?

Does Star Trek have any pure battle ships in the Federation?

if its a universe against a universe then the Star Trek one would easily win.

Think about it, its not limited to the Federation, we have the Borg, Q, Species Lots0numbers, Dino race and so on and on.

Yep. Borg assimalite a jedi...then they all get jedi powers. Good luck to the Star Wars people then.

I'm with the others based on the Star Destroyers sheer size. Star Trek seems to have much better technology though.

Startrek would whoop them up! Assuming we had access to all eras shown in Startrek then they are garrunteed a win.. remember the alternate universes where the Enterprise-D is a heavy battle crusor? also the Enterprise-E would do phenominally well becuae it carried some of the most advanced stuff besides the time it would take a fleet to arrive in a given location would be fractional to that of the Starwars universe! (IE warp 10 is calculated as exsisting in all places in the univers simotainoutly therefore fold space) The star destroyer is powerful but a single borg cube could dessimate an entire armada of Starwars crusors! Does anyone remember species 8472? (i think) they had biological ships, weaponry, and just a few if their ships could tear the crap out of borg! Not to mention cloaking technology! All Trekkies Unite!! Starwars is great and all but it couldn't win!
