What would the Mac mini need to get Iris Pro or better?

Now don't get me wrong, I am happy with the announcement of the 2014 Mac mini with Iris graphics. I have seen some complaints about the lack of a quad core processor that existed on the 2011 and 2012 models respectively.

The question I have is, assuming Apple wanted to have a mini with Iris Pro, what would it have needed? More space? A larger power supply?

Could it have done a quad core with HD4600 if they chose one of the 35W options?

I'm guessing apple didn't want to cut into the Mac pro sales (by gimping the mini)

The latest 2014 mini can use up to a i7-4578U which has 28W tdp. A 4th gen quad core i7(w/o iris igp) needs 37W tdp, 47W if you want iris igp

The 2012 mini can use up to a i7-3720QM which has a 45w tdp

Would the two watt increase make a huge difference I wonder?

Also do you mean the $1,299 iMac and would an Iris Pro mini cut into the $1,299 iMac that has Iris Pro? I'm guessing yes.

The MP is aimed at a different market.
