What would prevent my browser from viewing certain websites.

Spyware plug-ins for IE. You will want to remove spyware with ad-aware, and I would suggest getting Opera as a back up browser.
 
There could be alot of reasons. Give me some more info on how you have your system setup, is it part of a domain, is it your parents computer, that sort of stuff.
 
From work I can log on to epinions.com. When I try at home, it won't load. I want to know what could possibly cause it. I am using both IE6.0 at work and at home.
 
The latest Zone Alarm (3) could be blocking it, and the dammage from spyware could have been permanent (I've had to reformat before to restore things). Webhancer spyware was the major cause of problems for me. Radiate/ aureate just caused browser crashes from what I remember.
