I am posting this in P&N because for certain the Off Topic crowd will complain that it should be in P&N......mods feel free to move if need be...

Let say that their are enough minority men or women who can be Policemen!
Let us also say that White men cannot be involved in Law Enforcement as Police Officers......other parts of Law Enforcement sure!!

Would things be different as far as the shoot first ask questions later mentality?

Or do you think all of a sudden we would see officer related shootings against white people??

I am trying not to make this into a racial issue. yet somebody will attempt to play the race card.....

Now in the last 2 weeks in several different cities.......Oakland, California and San Jose and Monterey...I was pulled over 3 different times.

In Oakland a Black Police officer pulled me over and asked me if I knew I was in a gang infested area? I told him I made a wrong turn and was lost. He offered to let me follow him out of the area! -- Very nice gentleman!

In San Jose in rush hour traffic I tried to get through an orange light that turned red. I was pulled over and this Asian Police Officer came up to the car and didn`t ask for my license or anything, He said to me -- I saw what you tried to do. Be more careful or next time I will give you a ticket. Again totally professional and very courteous.

Then in Monterey it was 1:00 am and I was heading back to the motel I was staying in and was pulled over. The cop asked for ID and all the other document..insurance.....etc. Then he asked me if I had anything to drink. I said no officer. Right away he accused me of slurring my speech. I called him a mother &^%$% and said to him -- tell me I slurred that......
He then pressed the issue and I told him that I was recording this conversation. He gave me back my DL and proof of insurance, etc.......and I head back to my Motel room. The officer was looking for a quick $$$$ stop. You really need to be careful oh...btw -- he was white......

It would be easier to just not police heavily inner city ghetto areas at all and just let them revert to 3rd world tribalism. Just ring-fence them so their disfunction doesn't spread to better neighborhoods.

Nothing should change seeing as cops shouldn't act different based on their skin color. But since this thread has underlying themes of racism I'll pretend my answer is something like, oh no crime rates will go up and instead, white people will be the ones getting pulled over for having their tints too dark.

According to most studies, all minorities will stereotype blacks as much as whites do. So, it really won't matter what race the officers are. The same stereotyping that happens with white officers will continue with minority officers.

Question about your one stop... Why do you say the officer was looking for some quick money? 1am, heading back to a hotel, he was probably looking for a DUI (hence why he remarked about you slurring your speech). Any chance that you might have been a little tired which can sometimes have indicators similar to a drunk driver?

And do you really think that cursing off the cop is going to help you? While it seems like the cop let you go this time, if he's on the fence about giving you a ticket or not, that probably isn't going to help you.

It would make no difference. Racism is so deeply ingrained in American culture that you have to consciously think about it to avoid doing it. Even black people call each other the N-word.

Every black officer I've ever known was far more racist against black civilians than white officers were.

It`s hard to slur the words Mother F%$^#&.....YES!! He was looking for a DUI which translates in the end into $$$$!!

Well, if he's a midnight officer, he's not getting anything extra for getting you at 1 am. And knowing how DUI cases go in court nowadays, many cops try to avoid them (although there are still ones that can't get enough of them).

It wouldn't make an iota of difference. Even if you had an all-black police force they would profile no differently than an all-white police force.

Contrary to popular bullshit, being a cop is mostly a thankless, shitty job.

So if it were all done only by minorities, the complaint would be it's just another thankless, shitty job that's been pawned off on minorities while whitey sits up on the porch sipping a mint julep.

What race are Palestinians? Are they "white"? But anyway for the OP, please consider the following:
1. too many cops are easily fooled and bureaucratic like I am; and
2. a lot of people identified as "white" today (myself included) would not have been considered white back in 1840s Celtic-Protestant America (I am not of celtic mtDNA; my mtDNA is equatorial rather than North Eurasian)
3. 85-90% of all cops are purely bureaucratic which is due to the system being run from the top down (i.e., the u.s.g. has funded local cops' weapons, the war on drugs, the war on terror, shit like "federal-state partnerships" on uniform crime reports)
4. bureaucratic people are moralistic
5. moralistic people have low fluid intelligence
6. moralistic people know only what they are taught.
7. moralistic people seldom have general intelligence above 125.
8. affirmative action lead to the iq limits;
9. I believe the IQ limits were excused by eric holder without him suggesting alternatives or giving recommendations in his report or decision.

STPs are the ones most suited to fight real crime so it doesn't have a chance; because SPs aren't afraid (most cops are afraid as they are Sensing Thinking Judging types); STPs are more democratic, more likely to give up their job to someone else, they're honest, and they don't feel sorry if they have to be brutal against a rapist (but they minimize risk).

So for each and every cop on street, by legislation, their processing speed and perceptual reasoning indices should be >=98th percentile. Dress codes/uniforms for cops should be relaxed. That can be started in secret in a few counties and then the good example will become the new and original norm. but that State's legislature or local councils may need to gradually sell a lot of police equipment to pay for pensions and retirement lumps. Having an NTP governor will help especially while having an ENTP president (I know we have the latter right now).

The police departments wouldn't be worried about their rank then; no one would even have to be fired if the policy i proposed was in place.

Current cops are more like Gen. George Washington in that they risk others' property too much (like I do as all thinking-judging types tend to). Cops are like me in that don't tolerate ambiguity well.

a root of the problem is that too many cops are like me and Washington in that they are bureaucratic and moralistic so they won't give up coercing people when it is of risk to others.

we need more law enforcement like the Hero of New Orleans (or Old Hickory, if you prefer).

The average IQ of the American police force is 104. In fact they specifically exclude people of "high intelligence" i.e., over 120 (those who score above 27 on the officer's intelligence test), which is really just the mean IQ of of Master's Degree holders in the U.S., certainly not genius level.

One of the main issues, if you believe skin color doesn't matter, then skin color cannot matter. Tribes in Africa fought against each other for power and control. Tribes in Central & South America were absolutely brutal to each other.

If advanced transportation and weaponry were developed in Central Africa, or in North America, if skin color doesn't matter, doesn't define who a person is, then we have every reason to believe they would have conquered and enslaved Europeans.


So when you create a thread that asks "What if the blacks and the Asians have all the power, would the country be more peaceful towards each other?"
