...there was NO form of currency?

Let's say we keep the world as is (present day) but remove currency. I'd like to think everything would either be free or traded for. We would still have electricity, cars, computers, etc... but it would all be given to people to better society. Everyone keeps their jobs and goes about their business...just without money. So what's the incentive to work? You'd have to contribute to be eligable to receive anything.

I realize people would go nutz if you tried to take their money away and this made more sense last night but hey....maybe.
