4- Impossible

5- Impossible

6- Everything in the ocean would die.

7- Did I mention impossible?

I already answered in your previous thread

The expression 'Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink' would no longer be relevant. It would cause the outcome of millions of conversations to change dramatically and time would get all messed up.

I guess it is required for the OP to state whether he means the oceans lose ALL of the salt content, or levels drop insanely.
the latter is quite possible, because if the ice caps do indeed begin to melt, they were introduce quite a lot of fresh water, thus dropping overall levels of salt content.

That would be perfect. Fresh water with ice cubes to keep it nice and cool for drinking :)

Oh, and salt causes the freezing point of water to drop. If there were no salt....

Yea, work off that.

Wouldn't the freezing point go up if there was no salt? Somewhere around 32?

edit:

here we go.

you've got nothing to worry about
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b160/disketry/whale.jpg

i'm pretty sure that is most definitely not a blue whale in that picture, but a whale shark

The description says Blue Whale and don't drink the water.

yes, but the picture itself is not a blue whale but a whale shark
for comparison blue whales are 180 tons and 100+ feet, but a whale shark is only 15-20tons and 40 feet

edit: found this link http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_blue_whale.htm
so the whole thing is just bs
