Suppose, for example, in talking about low wages somebody mentioned the decline of labor unions, and spontaneously, 1000 knights in iron pants dropped them to shit.

Or somebody mentioned seeing a black woman with 8 kids driving a Cadillac and hundreds of sleeping minds suddenly went apoplectic?

Wouldn't that be a fun world to live in?

There is a science fiction story from the 50's I think called The Marching Morons, that sort of covered this, where a few thousand geniuses ran a world in which most people had lost the ability to think and were only the titular heads of everything.

Can you imagine how many iron pants would drop if this were a reality and somebody tried to expose it? I bet......

That is only found in concept albums recorded by progressive rockbands *cough* 2112 *cough* in the real world dissent is impossible to eliminate. You may be able to oppress dissent but you can never eliminate it. There will always be that seed waiting for the right circumstances to sprout and grow.
