what would be the cheapest way to stream netflix to my room?

I would consider Apple TV if it was 1080p. Even if most of the content isn't 1080p, menus and everything would be much sharper if they weren't scaled-up from 720p.

It sounds like it might be worthwhile to look up a Roku HD video on Youtube to see if the Netflix implementation matches what you want. It sounds like the hardware is good enough based on what people say. I've never used Netflix on my ATV2, so I can't comment on how good it is. I mostly use my PS3 for that.

Apple TV is cool because it's SUPER tiny and if you have other Apple components then it's great but the interface sucks and the remote is horrible. Trying to search for anything is a pain on Apple TV. Holy crap though it's tiny.

Yeah, I use a VNC-based controller app for the ATV2 though, and that works pretty damn well.

Don't know of others experience with NetflixHD and home wifi, but after months and months of frustrations I finally bit the bullet and ran ethernet cable. Now NetflixHD is seamless to my PS3.

It seems a lot of people have problems streaming HD Netflix over Wifi on PS3. I've never had that problem though.

cheapest way = $350 on a PS3 that I'd never play a game on? 😕

great suggestions in this thread, though! I wasn't aware of Apple TV's existence; that's currently my top contender, especially if I can buy it in a retail store and unload some of the $100 amex gift card's I've had gathering dust since Christmas.

You can buy it from the Apple Store or from Best Buy.
