If my dad has MS streets and trips 2005 would that be better to use for maps and directions than say yahoo or google? Which ones would have the most up to date information?

I'm not terribly familiar with MS Streets and Trips, but I think it automatically updates itself according to road construction / maintenance closings. If its mostly highway driving, Mapquest or other direction sites will probably be more than sufficient, but if you're hitting the back roads alot, this would be a good thing to have. Cool toy too. :)

I've always had pretty good luck with the driving directions from Expedia and Mapquest. They usually tell you the exits to look for and stuff like that.

Streets & Trips works great for getting intown directions though.

For cross country driving I'd take the directions given off the websites.

MS Streets and Trips is great. I've been using it for almost 5 years(2000,2001,2002,2003,2005) dont just use it for the maps, theres lots of other features that are great for road trips. like finding a gas station, fast food, hotel, ect,ect...
