(Lets try to keep cynicism OUT of this thread, and focus on the potential positive outcomes in Iraq, and how those positive outcomes could be achieved...)

Free elections. Freedom of religion. No hate for Israel or their Arab neighbors. We should start by fixing their education system. Iraq had some of the best known universities prior to the Gulf War.

Thats a good point...I am frustrated because no politician (bush or kerry) seems to have a real answer to this question...

but I'm sure there is an answer...even if its overly optimistic...what would the answer be!?

Anyone who's honest will admit this is the "official" goal because that would stabilize the region and such. I'd also add that they have to stop hating the US. The funny thing is this is NEVER going to happen. Give them elections, give them education and they will still hate the US and Israel and they will have the same reasons for doing it. Lost cause.
