What windows module is causing my game to crash

I have been getting random game crashes int Quake 4 that causes the game to close and quit to windows. I get the error that quake 4 has encountered a problem and needs to close. When I go to view the tech info for the error i get information for 1-81 modules each associated with a specific app or driver.

How do I know which module is causing the problem? or is it all the modules or the last one?

module 81 is apphelp.dll and after that I get info on Thread 1 and then there is about a thousand lines of data.

Can anybody pls pls tell me what is happening and what I can do about it.

It would be difficult. it might be 100 pages long. aslo it wont let me copy the text. Can you just tell me what to look for but i will in clude the text that was to be sent along with the error message.

That just looks like an XML dump of what modules the program had loaded when it crashed. There is no fault information that can see. Did the program dump any error info along with the loaded modules?

Very rarely will a Windows module cause an error with a game.

Is the system overclocked?
Is it a driver issue?
Is it a game issue?
Have you tried disabling AV?

thanks for the replys guys this is really frustrating for me.

Please excuse my noobiness, but I am not sure if if an error was dumped. How do you tell?

Inline-My system is overclocked but it seems to run memtest 85 and super pi fine.
I have tried using several video drivers and the problem still happens. I actually experienced the same problem with my provious mobo (asus p5B).

It only happens when I am connecting to a mutiplayer game. The game will load the maps and right as the game is gonnna start it crashes. Funny thing is that it only happens when I am a client connecting to a game server. When I use my computer to act as a server it never crashes. Since it was only happening when i was connecting to a server I thought it was my router but connecting directly to the modem did not help as well.

I am not sure what AV stands for but I will try when I find out.

AH of course. and yes AV is also disabled I always shut it down when I game

I relalize this doesn't help your immediate problem, but that is just a really really really bad idea.
