Applies to everyone, all the hardcore folks seem to be absolutely sure their man will win but that's not going to happen.

As a [l]ibertarian I will only be able to look at the positive due to the ever growing libertarian members, Gary Johnson will not win though the trend will likely continue and we will continue to shave off Republicans and Democrats as they each keep trying to force their views onto others. With my political belief either one will give the same net result, even with a different means to get there. It is unforunate but it is what it is.

I was not here during the 2008 elections but on other forums some of the threads were comical, the McCain supporters were getting slammed and they had nothing. It will be interesting to see what would happen if the Democrats did lose. Personally I do not see that happening short another recession, however this forum is filled with liberals and the topics could hilarious.

It's going to happen, and some members have already stated their intent after the election win or lose :D

No big deal, as a conservative I'm expecting Obama to win the Presidency, the Republicans to maintain control of the House and the Republicans to have a good shot at winning the Senate. I'm actually more concerned with local races such as town council, school board, and County supervisors.

Exactly, same here.

I'm a registered Republican, though philosophically more of a libertarian. I expect Obama to pull it out in a squeaker, and like Monovillage I consider that no big deal. Since neither party suits me more than 75%, I've only lost the perhaps 30% that I agree with the Pubbies more than the Dems.

I dont have a side. And i dont vote due to the EC lock down on KS. But if i HAD to between tweedle dee and tweedle dumb id choose Obama.

So either way i wont get sad. Well sad for humanity and America, but that would happen no matter who won.

The same reaction it is every time they lose. Oh well. The majority want the Rs and Ds to keep fucking us over, nobody really wants a better choice. Politics is a team sport, and as long as your team wins, nobody cares that the Metrodome ceiling is collapsing on top of you.

As someone who opposes the big gov approach of both Republican and Democrat, my 'side' has not won since they attempted to restrain tyranny of the majority back when they wrote the constitution, bill of rights, and enumerated powers. I might say my 'side' lost the Civil War when states were no longer voluntarily part of the Union and were instead imposed on by force.

So... loosing freedom and liberty is par the course in this nation. Power will continue to be centralized through both major parties, local governments will continue to be marginalized and co-opted by federal funding. Our Democracy will continue to devolve into a violent shoving match over who can, with threat of force, impose on the other half.

To ask my reaction suggests that there was an action to react to. Nonsense, our current state is fixed and immobile, marred by the human condition of seeing a problem and using a primitive response of violence. Only by changing our minds and allowing others to live and let live, can we achieve progress. Until then there is very much nothing to react to, other than to shake my head as violence begets violence.

As far as I can tell, everyone on this board has already figured out how they aren't responsible

+1

Also, if Obama wins again, I am TOTALLY reshuffling my 401k funds, because I believe our economy will get worse with another 4 years of him at the helm. I base this on his track record from the past 3.5 years. I kind of "trusted" him to know what he was getting into taking the job in the first place, and expected more progress and kept promises.

The morning after the election, no matter who wins, I will do the same things I do on most weekday mornings: make coffee, watch some news, shit/shower/shave, get dressed, and go to work.

People like spidey07, though, may spontaneously combust if Obama wins... or break everything glass, ceramic, or porcelain in his house and start shooting.

People like dmcowen and Phokus are likely to do similar things if Romney wins.

I believe much as other conservatives have said, though I am not sure who will win. I think it is a toss up at this point. I am more concerned about Congress and my local politicians.

Dr. Paul and the people earned victory, but he and the people ultimately lost because the GOP cheated. That said, I've been furious, I've simply concluded that I won't live to the age of 30, and it is too late to change that.

You have ever yet to show the extensive cheating that you claim deprived Paul.

Paul was unable to convince enough people that he deserved a shot.

Every election cycle, accidents/incidents happen and those that feel they are the loser will both about it.

Dukakis could only win his home state; Paul can not even garner his own DISTRICT.

My prediction is Obama wins but barely (maybe even loses the popular vote) and R's make further in roads in congress. When he wins we will see a dip in the economy/hiring/business spending. Not really due to his policies as much as the mix of more R's in congress with a D president will mean more gridlock, brinkmanship and uncertainty.

If Romney wins I expect an uptick in the economy especially if R's make big inroads in the senate. Again not policy driven but more because we'd have a rubber stamp machine in effect and the gridlock and uncertainty would be less.

I think overall Romney is worse for the country and if he wins I'd be disappointed but not surprised. I like neither candidate though so it is really a case of no matter who wins we lose IMO.

I'm not going to "do" anything if either side wins. If the candidate I favor does not win, I'll just vote for the candidate I favor in the next election. This country will neither make great strides forward, nor go into the crapper, with either candidate sitting in the office. We've had good and bad POTUSES before, and somehow we just keep plugging away.

I have. It is not conclusive, but very few people like Romney. Look at the differences between the two in the crowd sizes they draw, look at how few Romney bumper stickers you saw vs. how many Ron Paul bumper stickers you saw (the official results say he lost my county, but like i said before, i saw at most one Romney bumper sticker until like 1 months ago, and i saw at least a 5:1 ratio of ron paul bumper stickers to obama ones), look at the dirty tricks the GOP did to dr. Paul and his supporters, and look at the demographics. At least 40% of the the 18 to 24 people support dr. Paul and then even if only 10% of everyone older supports him, that's more than the 12% of the popular vote the GOP has recorded him as having. He also said he would keep social security and Medicare intact, so seniors can't have an excuse to not vote for him as it relates to their welfare.

Finally... Ask yourself how many independents like Romney or any of his positions. I can think of very few because most Americans don't support continuing the u.s. govt's occupation of the whole world.

I'm gonna have to use some of your own bad logic against you. First, of my over 400 Facebook friends, 6 support Ron Paul. That's 1.5% of the population. And as far as using bumper stickers to represent accuracy in voting, I guess marijuana must've won by a landslide in my city because I've seen a whole lot of pot related bumper stickers around!
