What will your family eat when grocery store shelves are empty?

Get ready for the meltdown? I was surprised to hear an ad for them on the radio.

-------------------------------------

* WorldNet Daily cites strong evidence that some government agencies are stockpiling huge amounts of canned food.
* Jim Randas, former U.S. Intelligence officer, appeared on ABC telling Americans to start stockpiling food.
* Grocery store prices are rising faster than any time in U.S. history.
* Worldwide grain stocks are dropping precipitously as bio-fuels consume inventories? and on and on and on.

Evidence? I pay pretty close attention to the price I pay per item, and haven't noticed anything. Yeah, milk went up a bit when gas prices spiked, but then it came back down.
And dog food went up $7 and hasn't come down, but I don't eat dog food.

Damn straight!
Only the finest canned cat food for me!

WTF is this shit? Fear mongering to give the economy a little boost. If this was actual news it would be plastered all over MSNBC + CNN.

Plus, look at that website, it looks like its from 2000 and was made by a 10th grader in "computer science" class. Totally legit.

haha, I heard that on a radio station in Mid-Michigan this week while picking up a new Jeep.

Well a random guy who worked in an unspecified position for an unspecified agency says the end is near, so I guess I am convinced. In for 12. Good deal. reps to OP.

Wow, the website is amazing. I especially like these bits
"Grown in remote plots, far from the prying eyes of the big hybrid seed companies, each of the Survival Seed Bank varieties have been hand-picked for germination rate,"
Oh noes, the evil hybrid seed companies are out to get us.

"Indestructible Survival Seed Bank Can Be Buried To Avoid Confiscation."
Seed confiscation will be all the rage in a few years, I just know it.

I can't believe there are actually people who would believe this stuff.

They might be. Monsanto can probably prove that one corn seed got into your stash of 40 billion other seeds and sue you for patent infringement.

If you google the phone number they have listed you can get a nice listing of all the other wonderful products this company provides. I especially like how the same model (old man with grey/white hair) is used for many of the pictures, he not only is a medical doctor and a lawyer, he also had trouble sleeping until he bought the Peruvian Sleep Generator.

I love reading these sites, hours of entertainment

This has to be my favorite pictures so far

OM cheese dogs used to go on sale for 1.50 sometimes, regular price 2.99. regular price pretty much everywhere is 4.99 and 5.99 now, id say that was a significant increase over the last 1.5 yrs. lots of regular items have gone up, their new "sale" prices are their old regular pricing. ive seen this at frys, bashas and albertsons. safeway i rarely shop at, so i havent noticed there.

my kids will eat what i go out and steal if that becomes necessary (as in no food stocked at stores and my cupboards are bare, no food help in sight from anywhere). if it becomes a foodless wasteland, we will trap and eat stray animals and humans.

Dude, World Net Daily is the most despicable, phoney, fake website out there.
When they're not advocating murdering all gay people they are making up the most outrageous Enquirer type stories imaginable.
Save your mind. Ignore that site.

I can still go to Aldi and get cans of the staple veggies for 35-40 cents a can. ground beef, can be had for 2 bucks a pound, and my local gas station chain sells bananas for .39/lb, onions are cheap, etc... And nice USDA Choice ribeyes, strips, t-bones (not USDA Prime alas) can be had for $5.99/lb and sometimes $4.99/lb. I don't really see that food has gone up, but some boxed prepackaged stuff might have.
