Actually, it's more likely that for the forseeable future we'll just see ever greater usage of NAT to stave off the problem.

Ip v6 has been out for a few years.

The transition to IPv6 has started for a while too. Certain equipment need to be upgraded to conform to ipv6. But most recent networking equipment are compliant to it.

I will buy 1000 IP addresses before that happens and sell them to china for $1,000 each
