Hi,

I'm wondering what will happen if i add a stick of PC133 HSDRAM to a computer that has a stick of 128MB PC100?? I plan on running it at 100Mhz. Will it work? Would it be wise to set the memory to the slowest settings so that the PC100 can keep up w/ the PC133???

Thank you!

Ram can run at slower speeds no problem. It's usually rated at it's highest speeds/settings, so a PC133 will run at 100mhz without a hitch. Should be no prob running at 100 mhz.

It will work fine. PC133 designation just means that the memory is capable of running at 133mhz, it doesn't mean htat you have to! You would only have potential problems if you were trying to run the PC100 memory at 133mhz. (Although it is possible that it would work if its high quality ram)
