Next minor upgrade a Barton 2500+ at the end of July. Next major overhaul would be a Athlon64 and PCI Express vid card setup and that would be this winter of next year, but that's only if the Athlon64s stack up againt the Prescotts and if a PCI Express vid card offers better performance then going from AGP2x to 8x did :)

Just had ADSL installed so I got myself a nice DLink Router. My next upgrade will be an additional POS Pentium 2 machine with 15ish Gb hard drive...seriously! I want a cheap'n'nasty passively cooled machine which I can leave on 24/7 to host a web server and I don't have much cash so a PII should be fine.

My 3-4 year old computer will get 2 new harddrives within a couple of weeks. Maybe another 512MB DDR memory stick, if I can find the same crucial memory I use now

Well my last upgrade was the 5.1 speakers with the audigy 2. Sound makes a whole lot of difference :) .

My next upgrade will be my motherboard. Nforce 3 most likely. I'm pretty much set for now, as I've built a monster to at least try to handle Doom 3. Because I'm actually a original Doom fan I just have to be up to spec.

I feel like the cook that has a sign that reads "I'm making missteaks as fast as I can!!!"...

That said, yes it seems like I have to spend more money to get money for next fiscal year! (which ends at the end of next month!)

So the doctor said a diet of fiber is good! I have a bunch of these coming for a RT 1080p video project.

I have an ABIT IS7 and 1GB of Corsair XMS PC3200 laying in a box on my floor right now while I save up for a P4C... so that, without a doubt, will be next :) . After that, though, I don't know... other than maybe a new CD-RW drive (still have a 16x10x40) sometime in the next few months, not much.

Well I have just ordered some little styling bits just this minute...another LED Fan, Atomic Stainless Steel Fan Guard....and a window sticker thingy...again Atomic style. I think my next upgrade will be to replace my 60GB Maxtor with a 120/180GB Maxtor...8mb cache version.

Probably a 2600+ 266FSB proc, or maybe a less expensive mobo and proc combo. Right now my 1700+ palo is extremely limiting on the performance of my 9800np (still can run everything maxed at 1280x768.... 3dmark01 is just a little low ;)). That being said, it is also tempting to buy a new case now and then beg my parents for a Prescott combo at Christmas time.

New moniter any day now to replace my 17" Proview: Sony CRT Model CPD-G520P
Digital 5.1 speaker system once I find a job and apartment to replace my Altec ACS-48 2.1
Maybe a video card around January to replace my 8500 @ 290/290.
PCI-Express system once it's affordable to replace my 2400+, A7N8X-D.

Nice! I hope to get some kind of Raptor setup in the next year or two... hopefully by then 16MB cache drives will be out.

3.06 GHz P4 in the next few months.

Then I'll probably pick up a R360 depending on how much faster it is over a 9700 Pro.

Why the 3.06 when you could just get a 3.0C or 2.8C and in a few months their prices will fall even more.

He'd have to get a new motherboard then maybe?
