What will be the second language to know over the next 30 years for someone based in the US?

Unequivocally Chinese. Their economy will surpass our own within 25 years unless there is a great change in the global landscape. We will not like being #2, so that probably won't happen.

This is purely for financial dealings, though. The other scenarios would basically be potluck as to who's going to be the best, as mostly spiritual gains etcetera are defined via one's personal being, not by an extrapersonal lingual endeavor.
