what do you think will be the highlight of your summer? a vacation? sports event? family reunioin?

For me, I'm hiking the John Muir Trail which covers 211 miles of what is probably the most beautiful part of the Seirra Nevada.

road tripping with friends next month. i think july in general will be awesome, just hanging out and having fun before i go back to my parents' house in august. 🙁

mmmmm Bar-B-Q...... lots of beer.... drunken Euchre games till 3am with the extended family 🙂....

Also looking into a group camping trip sometime but haven't put a lot of effort into it....

should I buy new or used equipment? I need everything for a family of 4...

it depends. how much do you think you'll be using the equipment? If you look hard, you can find some really great stuff used for about half the price. I'd rather buy a used high quality piece of gear than a new cheap target tent. Sleeping bags should be bought new. check out seirratradingpost.com for good deals

In a few weeks we head to South Dakota for my wifes grandmothers 85th birthday and 4th of July get together. After a week there it's off to Orlando where the wife is going to the Cisco Networkers convention. So me and the kids are going to tag along. I'm excited to take my son to Disney World and some other theme parks and although he is only 3 I'm sure he will be fascinated with all the charecters and little rides and just the enviroment in general.

Then the day after we get back I start school for my AS degree.

3-week family vacation in Korea later in August. 😀 😎

We will spend 2 weeks travelling around to some of the best beaches and tourist places. Then I'm taking a few days off to travel around the country by train to visit and interview a bunch of religious organizations. Funny how I never welcome their visit, but I look forward to visit them myself and ask them a bunch of questions and take pics. 😀

Probably vacation/visiting friends. I'm going out to colorado for 2 weeks. Then sometime in the fall i am going to germany. The highlight of the summer will probably be me finding a job though. I'm so lazy.

hopefully a couple road trips, working, hopefully getting an internship (yea it's late i know 😛), learning new programming languages, doing whatever the hell i want without having to worry about school.
