Actually I could see transparent screens maybe become a thing. It sort of is possible to do already but maybe with a new tech it would be clear like glass while showing clear display colours without relying on a backlight. I don't see a real use for that, but it could be a niche thing that eventually comes out, maybe more for commercial use like storefront windows. You would hang the screen right at the window to show sales or if store is open/closed etc but you can still see inside the store when the display is off, or around display elements where the screen is "black". Fast food places could also use it to double as a Covid barrier, it would show your order info while you are ordering and you can still see the person you're ordering from. Wait, I don't think we'll be ordering from humans by 2030... But you get the idea, I could see such a tech come out and be used. I don't think the average person would be buying it though. Maybe to put on their wall as accent decoration, like to display random pictures etc but it kind of blends in with the decor.
