Intel Webcams are very good indeed - probably similar to 3Coms (high end models)
Logitec Quickcams are generally very low grade. I've never seen one yet that was any good unless the subject was very brightly lit.
Other than Intel - I had a very good experience with an Ezonic EZ Cam Pro. But it dies on me after about 18 months of use.
Prior to that I had a Philips with capture card - also very good indeed

But not so reliable either - they die after a year or so too
Kodaks are way over rated too - I'd highly recommend an Intel
