What webcam do you use/recomend

what do you all recomend or use.

I like my Logitech QuickCam 3000 Pro I got from JustDeals.com.

alkemyst why do you love this camera? What is good or bad about it for say doing net meetings over the internet? I am looking at this camera but wanted to know what other people have done with it.

i have the logitech quickcam express. i use it for conferencing over yahoo messenger and microsoft netmeeting. i've had it for about six months, no problems so far.

It compares nicely to the 3Com Home Connect which will run you around $150 if you can find one.

Great low light performance, and nothing flaky ever happens.

My camera never 'disappears' on me or freezes.

Plus it's relatively cheap.

Thanks Chris. I was looking at this web cam or the Ibot2 but the Ibot2 gets bad reviews so I guess I will get the Logitech 3000 pro.

DO TRY Justdeals.com. Some really good deals on some really good stuff. Got my Logitech Clicksmart 510 there and it's great.

Intel Webcams are very good indeed - probably similar to 3Coms (high end models)

Logitec Quickcams are generally very low grade. I've never seen one yet that was any good unless the subject was very brightly lit.

Other than Intel - I had a very good experience with an Ezonic EZ Cam Pro. But it dies on me after about 18 months of use.

Prior to that I had a Philips with capture card - also very good indeed But not so reliable either - they die after a year or so too

Kodaks are way over rated too - I'd highly recommend an Intel

You must have only seen their low end models, which for the price are still much better than the other sub $20 stuff out there.

My 3000 Pro produces perfect images in monitor light alone. It has been compared to the low light performance of the 3Com and many prefer it over the 3Com.

I did a lot of research in to webcams before choosing this one and didn't have any budget restraints.

I have to agree with alkemyst on this one (by the way Chris, thanks for the recommendation), on his post I bought the Logitech QuickCam Pro 3000 yesterday. Setup was easy as pie and the picture quality is excellent for making clips (and hopefully video conferencing - haven't done that yet) with great picture quality. Yes I am sure there are better web cams out there but for the price and quality of this product you can't beat it. Thanks again Chris.

veo is good? my friend's veo stringray wasn't that good. intel deluxe is cheap on ebay cuz theyre discontinued. nothing wrong with it, just that intel wanted to invest in something theyre beter nkown for.
