A 4 year old Freestyle blue faced chrono... It's worn down to the brass in many spots, and the crystal has a scratch, but it's survived 4 years of surfing, showers (I don't remove my watch for showers or sleeping), weight gain, weight loss, weight gain again (quitting smoking will do that...), and any other abuse I can give it.

All in all, I'm a Freestyle fan because of this little $180 watch. (Yeah, I overpaid... Bought it at RonJon's. )

It looks like this one, but with a blue face and polished chronos...

Just using a POS timex right now.

I've got a couple soviet mechanical watches on the way though.

Congrats on your interest in horology. I am a wristwatch dealer and love a good mechanical timepieces. I deal in these...Currently I wear a '74 Rolex Oysterdate, '80 Rolex Presidential w/diamond face and bezel, a'55 Longines, etc.,etc. Over the years I've acquired a pretty nice collection and pursue any deal I can find. I highly recommend buying mechanical over quartz (battery operated) because their value increases over time much more significantly than do those with batteries.
That Sinn is a sweet watch. I've always liked the military watches. Sinn, Fortis, Bell & Ross and such. Pocketwatches are also very fun to collect although quite old school, I always get comments about them!!
