I've been seeing a lot of threads in OT about salaries. From what I've seen, my ideas about salaries seem to be a bit off. To make things a bit more level, lets only talking about starting salary after graduating from college.

So my question to ATOT is:

What was your major/field-of-work and your starting salary?

Edit:
If you started working a while back: use this calculator to convert to present dollars http://futureboy.us/fsp/dollar.fsp

I went to college for six weeks.

By the time I was 28 I was making $75k. At 31 I was at $100k.

Learn how to sell. You'll never starve.

$12/hr for training. Sold to everyone I met and was making $50K a couple weeks later, $80K 3 months later, and $100K at the end of the year.

Alternatively I was offered $24K to be a teacher. $40K-60K to be an engineer. I went sales and made the right call.

Today's economy is not what it was a couple years ago though. If you're graduating now take what you can get.
