HS was simply a placeholder. I knew if I left, I'd have to go to work and was lazy. I was self educated and hs was purely social. You couldn't pay me to go back to those times even if I knew what I know now. I do wish I'd been more motivated or, had a mentor to push me but, who doesn't have regrets?

I believe that group is called "fucking jocks"

Well there were several jock groups and not all of us got along. There were at least 3 or 4 on the varsity football team alone (75 varsity players and we had a JV and freshman team) and we were on the 'less jock-y' side by which I mean we weren't as big of a-holes and didn't spend as much time getting drunk (along other things)

Not really sure what class I would fit into. I didn't really hang out with the "cool kids." I only had a handful of friends, but they were good friends and some are on my Facebook to this day. I was in the fishing club and JROTC. In fact, two dedicated pages from the fishing club have my friends and I in the year book.

I mostly hung out with the nerdy ROTC kids, but I was friends with people from just about every group. We didn't have a lot of bullying or anything. The worst kids were the rich kids, who were trying really hard to make a fraternity. Everyone just kind of ignored them.

I had friends in a few different social groups. mostly the smart/popular crowd and the smart but don't give crap crowd. I was running our Science Olympiad team and getting bullied. I hated highschool, I am much better at getting along in the real, adult, working world.

Outsider. I didn't like highschool, and didn't like most of the people I went to school with. I hung out with private school kids. I was smart enough and lazy, so my grades were usually mediocre cause I didn't do any work unless I was interested, and then I did very well. I almost failed government my senior year cause I didn't do homework, and the teacher graded homework. That was required for graduation too. Going to summer school would have sucked D^:

nerd who played sports.

easy pickins for the jocks - i wasn't uber at sports, but i was a good kid and valedictorian of the class. freshman and sophomore years were pretty solid. junior and senior were not particularly fun.

I don't think I fit into any category. It was the "misc" category that wasn't quite nerd, jock, goth, etc and did their own thing.

in my country cliques were more of a middle school thing, because it ends a year later than in the US and people who are not going to go to a university do not go to high school because we have a dual education system.

So in high school people are usually more mature and open-minded.

I blended in with most groups. Created my own group that was highly diversified. Early 80s and I had a computer (Atari 800XL) and was programming as a hobby. I was somewhat popular as I had a job. I wanna say I was alpha just because 1. I was smarter than most and 2. I had a job.

Northern Virginia, Fairfax County Public Schools 1968-1974. We even had areas of the school and bathrooms that the different groups tended to hang out in. All seems pretty funny in hindsight. Great song, great album.

Yep same here. Montgomery County MD 70 to 76 ish. Funny how the names for groups are geographical. At walt whiteman (we called it that) we would meet up on the "hill" to party and hangout.

At Lee we had "the park" that served that purpose. There was an open gate to it behind the school and we would stand on the other side of it (off school grounds) to smoke or skip pep rallies and assemblies. I work in a school now and there are so many things we got away with that you could never do today with computers and cameras tracking everything.

During hs all the teachers would go to lunch at the same time so,we drank our beers on the front steps.

I was a ghost. I showed up for class and then blended into the background. I flew so far under the radar I was skimming the treetops.

High school was such a snooze fest I left as soon as I was able. I found out that I had enough credits at the end of junior year to graduate and just needed a couple of summer courses to complete the state requirements so it was asta la vista bitches.

I'm currently in highschool (in my final year) and I've gradually gone from being one of the more popular students right at the beginning to being pretty much one of the least popular... nowadays I just hang out with two friends who have stuck with me since the beginning, as well as another Amy who is in my class. :3
