Samsung Galaxy S5, my first smart phone. I guess it's pretty neat.
Same. It's both an enjoyment and a pissoff. I like having a computer in my pocket, but I resent the restrictions.

Canon PowerShot SX50 (50% off) at Target for 214.99+tax. 32GB memory card $18+tax. :awe:
I didn't get my first smartphone until a year ago. For several years I was on a Verizon loyalty program with my dumbphone, which I almost never used, for $25/month. I also hate monthly payments - I don't have cable for instance. Then I had to use the phone more for awhile, so I upgraded to the $50/month plan and couldn't go back. At that point I decided to get more for my money and got an unlimited 3G plan (1GB 4G, but I don't have that here) with T-Mobile for the same $50/month.Member of a tech forum since 2001 and this is your first smartphone? Pre-ordered a Fire TV Stick. $20 was the right price point to induce involuntary purchase reflex.
