What was your last "bad" electronics buy?

bought an open box x1900xtx off newegg, card was DOA. rma'd but cost $60 for restocking plus about $15 for shipping.

I didn't play my PS2 that much. I only got it for racing and fight games (what PCs don't do well), and didn't get enough of them. So yeah.

ATI X800GTO AGP, it arrived just fine and worked for a week, then went berzerk. The replacement was fine....

Before that it was back in 99 (i think) that i bought a Creative somethingCam, it was supposed to be a digital camera and a webcam, but only worked when it wanted to, and of coarse took crappy 640x480 pics.

I think anyone who bought that thing would even be too embarrassed to post about it here. It was completely obvious it would bomb from the beginning.

I guess for me it would be my xbox. I don't play with it that often, but I got it when it was about $150, so not too bad overall. I actually got some decent $5 games from Circuit City recently, so maybe I'll make it worthwhile anyway. I've considered buying an Xbox 360 or PSP, and then I remember that I would rarely use it.

(1) Non-computer: Phillips 30 inch HDTV CRT TV - Failed within 2 days of turning it on... fortunatly Best Buy let me exchange it for a Sony model which has been problem-free.

(2) Computer: Kenwood 72x CR-ROM drive - Never worked as promised & failed after a few months... was OEM so I was SOL.

exactly, obviously he isn't meant to be console gaming Xbox360 with live is awesome. The live Arcade is addictive as hell: Uno + Texas Hold 'em

Generic KVM off of eBay. Worked for two days. Once it detected that I had left positive feedback, it forgot that it had a mouse on two of the channels and a keyboard on the other two... not terribly useful.

I'm surpirsed at people conplaining about the XBox360. Dead Rising looks like reason enough to keep it. I'll have to hit my local pawnshops and hope one of you lives near me
