Back when FPS was mostly just run&shoot, I'd get bored with them fast. A-10:Tank Killer was the first game I played to distraction. Next would be the original Descent.

Duke Nukem 3D - back when I was in high school, it was pretty fun. The Half-Life came out, and totally blew everything else away. I played the demo, and then the next day I ordered the full version.

Civilizations on an old 486 I think....

It was on 5.25's I had to get the guy at the computer store to put it on a 3.5'(s) for me..

Oh yeah and I guess before that I was also addicted to oregon trail on apple IIE I think and Risk on the original mac.

Oh man... another fan 😀

I've got the CD soundtrack playing in my car. I almost forgot about it. My brothers always got mad because I would stomp them so bad, so it wasn't as much fun as it could have been..... wow, another TOTALA fan. That made my day.

Edit:

Curse of the Azure Bonds-from the TSR AD&D Gold Box Series would be the first.
Quickly followed by Ultima IV, Bard's Tale 3, Hero's Quest, Space Quest was a great game not many played, and the Liesure Suit Larry's from 1-3 were funny as hell....make sure to wear a condom!
