BS in Computer Science... First job was as technical support for a department of a local corporation. I supported everything "technical"; Servers, PC's, Printers, Phones, Fax Machines, Copiers, etc. It also involved some programming, but not as much as I would have liked.

BS in Business Admin., MIS concentration

I am a systems analyst II, so yeah pretty much nailed it on the head. I had previously done IT support work to get myself through college, which took 11 years to finish.

graduated with a bachelor's in architecture, and worked for an architect until I got sick of doing mind-numbing cad work (3 months). Wanted to work in the tech field, but no one wanted to hire me so I started doing web programming freelancing.

BS in Civil Engineering - focus on Transportation

And I'm a Transportation Engineer. So yes, my first job out of college had everything to do with my major.
