What was your first GPU ever?

GeForce TNT2.... if I even remember that correctly

I think there was an ATI All-In-Wonder that I used for something sometime

First I bought separate was a Voodoo 3, still remember the box art. I had a pre-built PC before that, and don't remember what was in it.

It was a Diamond Riva TNT...I think. It ran like utter crap so I took it back and got a Voodoo 3..that thing was pretty decent, it had low FPS on some games like KingPin or Omikron but still pretty good for it's time in comparison. It cost $300....which to me back then seemed insane just to play some video games.
The zit faced nerd at Circuit City actually told me that I could SLI a Voodoo 2 and a Voodoo 3...told me with straight face confidence. I lulzed

Trick question?

The 1st one I purchased that is officially a GPU was the Geforce 3 Ti 200. 🙂

Yeah are we including ye olde VGA devices? If so - Cirrus Logic 5424.

First "3D" device would have been an ATI Rage Pro. (xpert@play)

I think it was one of the RAGE series in the throwaway PC I got when I was like 3, which was upgraded to a 6600 later. The first one I had once I knew about PCs was HD 5770. First one I decided on was a HD 7770 and the first one I actually bought was a GTX 770.

My Compaq came with a Rage Pro, but most games actually ran slower on it than in software mode. I added a Voodoo 2 to it shortly afterwards.

EVGA 7800GT 256mb, I remember installing it and being mad that my game didn't look any better ! (I was a total noob who didn't even realize you needed to adjust graphics settings haha)

GeForce256 if we go by the term GPU.

Else it was some Cirrus Logic something I think. Was quite a few cards before 3D era started.

Tseng Labs ET4000W/32 VESA Local Bus

First true GPU was a Riva TNT 16mb

Radeon 6450 that my dad picked up quickly to connect the computer to the tv.

However my real first card that i bought on my own was the Radeon 7770, when i saw that fps quadruple, it felt like i had the best gaming rig on the planet. (the feeling only lasted for the best part of 10sec)
