And of course Goonies. It helps that I first saw it in Seaside, probably 15 miles from where it was filmed.
My wife and her 4 sisters grew up in Astoria. This movie is treated as the second coming of Christ in my home.

Seen those by far more than any other movie.
Grew up watching them at least a few times a year.

Anyone remember the 'The Woman in Red' with Gene Wilder..?
That was my all time favorite because Kelly LeBrock had shown of 1 second of blatant full frontal nudity.
I think I was 9 at the time and we were stealing HBO and I got to watch it. To this day, I think of that movie as one of my all time favorites for that one scene alone.![]()

corny as all hell, but to this day I can still watch that movie in full and get a huge laugh out of the movie, especially when those surfer dudes rob the house.
TMNT is probably tied with that as well.

Hahahaha... oh man. I remember their names but I don't remember that part, although you think something that spectacular would stick in my mind.
I do remember the "Rocky loves Emily" thing that younger kids would say to Rocky to tease him about that girl.
From what I've seen, it looks like the Portland area has bounced back quite a bit. I know there are a lot more tech jobs in the area than there were a few years ago. And there's a lot of upscale development going on in downtown Portland.Originally posted by: loki8481

back when we still lived in the Pac NW (Portland) and I was a kid, my dad took me and a couple of my friends out to Astoria for the day. it was awesome. hehe.
I'd really love to move there someday. lol. I heard the economy sucks out there, though.
