History of Jazz for my arts elective w/ Dr. Brown. You got extra credit if you went to see the teacher's band perform at local bars. He really liked free drinks!

Meh, not so much. Helps with making approximations and linearizing non-linear functions around a point, but it's not as impressive as the Fourier series and transform.

To each his own. My favorite actually is the fundamental theorem of finite abelian groups.

Actually, I'm also a huge fan of Complex Residues. Very sexy.

And those are evaluated using a Taylor Expansion. lol.

Actually, Laurent, but close enough.

The best classes, which you will likely not find at your school were:
1. Outdoor Recreation. Most phys-ed classes are 1.5 credits, this one is 3. 5 "units." Deep Sea Fishing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Paintball, Horseback Riding. 10 sessions - one session you talk about the upcoming activity, the next session you go do it. Show up for all 5 sessions, get an "A." There was a $200 cost for all the activities, but that was less than the books in some of my academic classes.

2. Eat/Drink, Man/Woman - Gendered History Of Food. Food history, with a focus on gender relations. Attendance optional. No midterm. 1 Paper. Final is sit down with the professor for 15 minutes and discuss the class.

3. History of Western Sexuality. Same professor as #2, so same requirements. This time you talk about sex through the ages.

4. Gendered Technoculture - Discusses relationships between gender and technology. Watched "The Matrix" in class. Major projects included masquerading on IRC as a member of the opposite sex, and building a web page.

General Psychology and Abnormal Psychology were good. Developmental Psychology was interesting, but not one of my favorites.

I liked just about all of my History and Literature classes.

Software Engineering and Basketball were pretty fun. Ballroom Dancing was fun for awhile, then just got damn annoying.

Ideas in Physics!!!

3 hour class once a week at 6pm, basically drink the whole period. Its theories on simple physics. No math whatsoever. After 6 weeks and were just passing Work and Force hahaha. And the tests ask for things like "What is Work?" Plus the prof does examples of sweet sh!t in class.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Ethics, and only a few have mentioned Philosophy. IMHO - these two fields will offer you more real world use than anything else.

I'm taking Linear Systems and Control and I enjoy it.

Signals and Systems isn't bad either.

That one was pretty hard core... Isn't the fourier series/transform like one of the most amazing things you've ever seen? Brilliant!

Hell fvcking yes. Such a simple concept with extremely powerful results.

FS and FT...used everywhere. My favorite was basketball class. I'm a geek...but not so geeky that I'll put an academic class before a recreational class.
