I can remember downloading some FSOL tracks as soon as I realized I could find some rare tracks (Amorphous Androgynous) without spending $35 for the Import CD (if you could find it, that is).
Mine was Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai--in 128kbit glory! Man those were the days... I'm trying to remember the name of the horrid mp3 player we all used back then (this was pre-winamp). The interface was clunky as hell. Can anyone remember the name of it? This was very early 1997.
A live version of American Jesus, by Bad Religion. I was checking out some BR sites and this one guy had a section with some bootlegs in "mp3" format. I was like, mp3??? what is that? This was sometime around '95.
It was a live concert bootleg of a Metallica show, I want to say in stockholm. This was prewinamp IIRC (either that or I didn't know it could convert mp3's to wav's, so I used some strange converter to do it. Burnt it to a CD using a Sony 2x6 burner that took the caddies. I don't even remember what that burner cost, but I know it was quite a bit.
