What was the worst gift you ever got?

My wife's half brother gave me a pair of 80's style baggy workout pants, you know, the ones that you saw white rappers wearing in their videos, that looked extremely used. I threw them in the trash...and then I washed my hands.

Worst Christmas gift ever...

He also gave me a hurricane lamp one year. I'm sure that was a re-gift. I threw it in the trash too.

I'm going to go ahead and agree that gag-gifts and irrelevant gifts are not only useless, but can be very insulting. I don't mind if I don't receive anything, but please don't get me something that you KNOW I won't use.

For example, my brother bought me a whoopie cushion for my birthday when I was 21. I'm not much of a jokester, and it was obvious that he had to go last-minute shopping at the dollar store. I had bought him a $35 imported CD from Europe for his birthday.

Gee, thanks bro.

What a great gift! Bet you got off on that 40oz! You were supposed to list the worst item you got as a gift.

My worst item was my wealthy aunt and uncle went to China one year for a few weeks, when I was about 12. They told me they had gotten me some Chinese souvenirs in a post card. When they got back I got a miniature Chinese coloring book with like 10 thin pages, a 5 pack of mini crayons that snapped in 2 the first time I used them, ripping the coloring book pages, and a 6 pack of dried out magic markers.

I hate to rag on any gift, it IS a gift, after all, but that was just the pits.
