I'm sure a lot of people know who I'm talking about, but the name escapes me.

This hippy dude would teach how to paint on TV. Apparently it was a fairly popular show in the 60s, and it still used in movies as a funny cultural reference to that time.

ahhahaha bob ross is awesome...he trys to make the painting so simple when in actuality few people can do it, lol

yea he was good, he made it look so easy. "now a little swash of kobolt blue and a dab of Titanium white, mix it to this color and take your knife and make happy little swooshes for the tree limbs"

If i wanted to take a weekend afternoon nap all i had to do turn on PBS at 1 and bob would be there singing me his lullabye.

Dude, the show is STILL ON... usually pretty late around here. Man, is that guy ever flamboyant.

I still remember watching Bob Ross when I was in my teens. One day, Bob was musing about life. "You gotta have the bad times," he said. "The bad times are what make the good times so sweet when they roll around." There was a short pause. "I'm still waiting for the good times."

I got the feeling that poor old Bob had some depression issues.
