It would continuously ping a site and the record when it was down and was a great way to determine how often your connection was actually up.
 
I could write that in the next 15 minutes if I had the java IDE installed on this laptop. Unfortunately, I don't, and the campus wireless is slow as sh!t. So I can't.
 
That'd be great if it were me but this is for a person in a remote access who is blaming my VPN for her constant disconnects. :| It's gotta be dummy-proof.
