Jeep Cherokee (spent 2 grand) for a girl I was with for three years. Usually don't succumb to cases of pity, but she lost her car (her Dad needed it and was out of work in Michigan). One of the worst mistakes I ever made. Too long of a story to type out.
 
currently single, but I think the most expensive "gift" I got for an ex was a $400-ish dinner/Broadway date night for his birthday.
 
I bought the girl I'm talking to an iphone dock extender so she doesn't have to take off her (horribly designed) case (that looks all pretty to her or whatever) when plugging it in to various docks and shit. It cost $4.50. I'm baller, I know.
 
My g/f prob Uggs boots and a coach purse. Now that she's my wife, a 2300sq ft house, wedding ring, soon to be 3 yr old daughter and a 2012 Ford Explorer. I be a broke ass mofo now...

lol close to what i was going to say. a nice house and 2 kids. I admit i didn't want kids at the time but she did. i wouldn't trade them away for NOTHING.
 
He gave me an engagement ring, and a wedding ring. I gave him two cars and a pickup.

He gave me one of the cars back, along with the payments. 🙄
 
A meal for three at Alinea. I flew one of her best friends (a fan of high end restaurants) in secretly and we all went there. Best meal of my life.

<-- envious. I keep meaning to get out to Chicago so I can go there. I remember reading about Achatz in Soul of a Chef many years ago when he was a sous at TFL, then when I heard he had his own place I wanted to get there and try it. It's still on my list!
