Something you've been trying to make right or trying to resolve and finally you've just said, forget it, I can't waste any more time/energy on this.
 
dealing with my in-laws. now the courts get to deal with her (we go to court on the 7th for permanant custody of my wifes 16 yr old sisteR)
 
I gave up on trying to learn to play the guitar. I'm just not into it, even though I love rock music.
 
I gave up on caring. It takes way too much time and energy and you get nothing in return...ever. 🙁
