What was the last cd/dvd media PC game you bought?

Oh! You know what? It wasn't COD4. I bought Battlefield Bad Company 2 off eBay last year. Shity thing is I can't get online. That's one thing you have to watch out for buying games on eBay. It has to be new and sealed. In my case it wasn't and I was desperate to play the damn game. At the time I couldn't find new and sealed for BFBC2.

A boxed copy of Overwatch for my son, which really pissed me off as all that seemingly was on the disc was an outdated version of Battle.net, it then downloaded the whole thing over the web. What's the point in bothering with even throwing the disc in the box?

preordered opeth Sourceress

I hate preorders
but this is Opeth, which is still mandatory listening for me.

I dont care if they peaked with Morningrise, Still Life, and Blackwater park.

Also ordered a couple of Nordic Giants releases

Kscope released their EPs Build Seas & Dismantle Suns, and I picked up their Seance of Dark Delusions.

Opeth is making games now? 😉

Its in off topic and not gaming forum 🙂
I simply choose to embed invisible commas.
CD, DVD, Game Media
Should have realized when I saw NWN 2 above my post, but I figured maybe he just doesnt buy CDs or DVDs and only buys CDROM or DVDROMs.

I think it was Ghost Recon 2. Purchase was an experiment with a friend to see if it was any better than on the 360. It was, but not from an online voice solution.

I wish they would start selling games on usb 3.0 thumbdrives or something. I only have a 20 meg connection and takes forever to download games.

Something akin to Amazon's AutoRip would be nice. Physical boxed copy with flash drive (could be stylized with game art or figurine, even) for install media + instant download right via Steam key (or on DRM-free platform like GOG).

That game revolutionized AI. I swear. I was looking behind me and everywhere playing that game. Eventually I knew to be extra precautions when I engaged the enemy.

Yep, that game is one of the few games to ever make me turn on the lights. I was very immersed in it at the time. Still holds up well today.
