My mother was hooked on that game. It was written in BASIC so it was easy to modify. She about killed when I changed to the "you win" message to something like "too bad you lost anyway".

My dad had just purchased an Apple IIe.

I learned BASIC back in 1981. I think my school was one of the earlier ones to offer programming in our area. I remember a buddy of mine figured out how to send messages to the terminals and sent bogus error messages to another classmates.

... Ahh the fun of being a geek back then.

Learned to type on a Mac Plus... a little later on I used an Apple II for math games and an Apple IIGS for video games. Then one of my friends got a Mac Classic (1990) and it was basically a love affair ever since

First time chatting was on a Mac SE II, first time on the WWW was around late 1994 on a Performa 630.
