Some scary English movie as we had half a century ago .
Long ago, the bbc or some channel i forgot the name from always had scary movies after midnight.
During the morning, great kids series like Heman or Jayce and the wheeled warriors. And during the night horror movies.
Probably some dracula or ghost/ demon story with decent special effects. The old English B movies were very good in creating shock effects.
I could still watch a seventies horror movie today and have fun. Also because of great looking women at the time like Ingrid Pitt.
Way better than what people call scary these days.

Honestly when I was a little kid and the original Wizard of Oz was on TV the witch and the monkeys scared the shit out of me. Not a big horror movie fan I guess the most memorable movie was Alien, Coming out the theater late at night walking to the car was freaky.

The Dunwich Horror was one I that particularly remember. Pretty sure that I and my little brother saw it in the theater, for reasons I can't begin to imagine. Had absolutely no idea what was going on at the time, but I had nightmares for a couple of years.

watership down.

The Black Hole was also plenty creepy for my age.

funny story: i was scared witless by the kitchen scene in Gremlins, so much so that i had to walk out of the theater.

i was never really into horror, although i did like Dawn Of the Dead, i never found it scary. my first real impact with HORROR, was reading the collected works of Lovecraft, at circa 13yo.

Creature From The Black Lagoon. I was three or four. Didn't give me nightmares, but I remember being concerned with the curtains in the family room of the house. For some reason, I had the idea the creature would emerge from behind them :^D

I think the first that I can remember was Carrie, I can never watch a Sissy Spacek movie without getting the creeps.
