Diablo somewhat, but it was Diablo II that kept me up WAY past my bedtime and had me wishing I could die the next day at work.

There was once a Golf, dunno. You could choose EGA or CGA graphics, and the computer always brabbled something like "looks like he hit the tree ..." etc. That game OWNED!

That would have been the original Links, which was released pretty far back. Prior to that, my addiction was Jack Nicklaus Golf.

nah, don't think it was Links.... it was released in the late 80s cuz I went home early from school so that I could play that game hehe You didn't see a person hitting the ball, I gonna google it :)

i will have to say all the lucasarts puzzle games starting with:

manaic mansion (commodore 64) and also day of the tentacle , zak mckracken and the alien mindbenders, the whole monkey island series, the dig, sam and max, full throttle

i would consider it more liek an obsession to finish them and see what was around the next corner as far as humor wit and creativity they put int thses games.

too bad they have all but killd off these genre at lucasarts....bastards!

man.. it's gotta be AD&D Goldbox series from back in the late 80s
Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms storyline were my favorites (those are 7 games in itself)

I started playing games when I got my C64 at the age of 11 around 1982.
Played a good amount of beachhead and loderunner, but I was never hooked on a game.
My first real addiction came when I discovered 3D FPS gaming with Quake 2 around 1999.
Since then, it's been a steady string of game addictions.
Quake 2
Rogue Spear
Medal of Honor
Battlefield 1942

tough. I had this hand-held pinball game called wildfire (still have it, actually).. if that counts, then that one was first.

if it doesn't count... atari pinball on the 2600.

pinball.. it's the recurring gaming theme in my life..
