I got 2 together from my ex-g/f when she bought me a DVD player...

they were Top Gun, Aliens...there might have been a third one, but i forget which ones i bought and which were gifts

funny story at that time...my roommates and our g/f's all opened our presents together, well my g/f gave me 2 or 3 small boxes and a big box under it...i open up the first one and its Top Gun DVD...well my roommate says "but u dont have a DVD player"...I look at him, look at the big box...look at him, look back at the big box...then he was like "oh shit.."

i had only been seeing the girl for like 2.5 months at the time...luckily one of my friends was shopping with her when she got it, which i didnt know, and he kinda made sure i spent a lot of money when i went shopping.

i landed one of those buy 5 dvd's for $20 bucks things.......but now i have to buy 2 DVD's @ regular price...and boy they're freakin expensive..hell no..sheesh...i hate columbiahouse dvd....

It wasn't avalible on on VHS when it first came out so I bought a DVD player.

For me, it was City of Angels. Maybe a chick flick, but this was 1998 and I hadn't seen it so I figured I could partly justify the $25 I had to pay for it. It did turn out to work for various dates and paid for itself by saving me movie tix.

Matrix and Star Gate were among the first of the movies I bought as well.
